By C. E. Van Buren

For many years now I, like the rest of you, have watched, and listened, to our elected officials tell us one lie after another about the illegal immigration from Mexico to America, as well as any number of other issues. I said this to a friend the other day, and he felt I was being a little harsh calling what the government dished out to be lies. Well, that’s the way I see it, and here are a few of the reasons for my position.

We are told for instance, that “They are only taking jobs that US citizens will not do.”

Lie: There are no jobs that unemployed Americans will not do, if they are paid a reasonable wage. In the vast majority of cases, American citizens that pay taxes, rent, child care, food, and other expenses cannot do the same work for the same wage as people that pay nearly nothing of their own expenses because they are supported by the Federal Government, as well as state and local hand outs. Believe it or not, American citizens are not eligible under these support systems. Why? They are American citizens.

A very large number of them have found their way, thanks to the greedy contractors that hire them, into the construction industry. How can a legal drywall laborer who should be making a minimum of $18 – $24.00/hour compete with an illegal worker that only gets $5.00/hour if he’s lucky?

People are so worried about these people being homeless if we do not take care of them. Maybe I’m just to ridged, but every one of them left their own homes, jobs, in some cases families, just to come here an and send money, our money, back to their home country. Each year illegals send some twenty BILLION dollars back to their home countries south of the border. Tax free.

“They come here looking for one thing. Citizenship.”

Lie: Illegal aliens want nothing to do with US Citizenship. Why should they? They want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the ocean of benefits ‘forced’ on them by the United States such as employment, medical care, instate tuition, government subsidized housing, free education for their children, free school breakfasts and lunches. This list goes on and on. If that is not enough, NO TAXES! Why in heaven’s name, would they want to become citizens and loose all that?

“The United States welcomes immigration.”

OK, that’s True: However, these people are NOT immigrants. They are, by definition, criminals that are stealing from every one of us that pays taxes. Stealing from those that want to work, but cannot compete for work that pays less then minimum wage, for skilled jobs, just because there are criminals that will.

“Mexico is our ally, our friends.”

Back to the Lies: Mexico is not now, and has not been for many decades, a friend to the United States. Like their people, Mexico loves the money we send them, and the many businesses that have tried to setup shop there, but when the chips are down, guess what.

During WW1 German spies were allowed unfettered access to our southern border by way of Mexico. The same occurred during WW2 when they allowed the same access to Axis spies. During the Cold War, Mexico allowed spies hostile to the US, to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the US stole California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. See for yourself. You can check out some Mexican textbooks written for their school children on-line. Their own president comes here and lectures us over the new Arizona immigration law. And you do not want to know what happens to an American crossing into Mexico illegally. The only support they will get is during their time in a Mexican jail.

This is the big one for me.

“It is racist to secure our borders.” Lie, lie, lie!!!

I for one am sick and tired to people calling everything that they do not agree with as being racist. I’ve lived long enough to see a great deal of both sides of this race issue. I can tell you that up through the 1960’s race was a disgraceful problem in this country. I know that there are some that harbor these same feelings today. However, until Barack Obama came along, I believe we were making some very serious strides in dampening the problem, with the majority of our society trying to eliminate it all together.

Now, we find ourselves stuck with Obama until at least 2012, and if it is not him it is someone on his staff, or the Liberal pimples in Congress using race as an excuse, or to attempt to force some bill down our throats. Everything that disagrees with Obama’s position, or with that of the Liberal left, is now considered a raciest attitude. Or that is the way they spin it.

I’m sick of it!! It’s not being racist to want to protect our countries borders. It’s not racist to demand that the Liberals stop spending money that our grandchildren do not have. It’s not racist to not want to pay taxes that are so high there is nothing left to live on.

I think you get my point. We must find a way to stop this administration, and this Liberal Congress from causing any further damage to our country, and breaking the back of Capitalism is exactly their goal. If we do not, the time will come in the very near future when none of us will recognize this wonderful land.

November is coming soon, and you will need to make up your mind how, and in what direction, this country will be lead. Please, don’t make up your mind from what you read in the media, not even Fox news should be your only source. Do some research of your own. Is your congressman doing what you expect of him/her? Make up your own mind. Most important of all VOTE!! We can’t send them home any other way. Don’t think this means to only remove Democrats either. Believe me there are many Republicans that need a ‘pink slip’ as well. How ever you vote, do it for the good our country. FIRE CONGRESS!! THE ROOKIES CAN DO NO WORSE!!

Barack OBAMA, during a speech in Cairo, announced to the world:

“I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”

Strangely enough, that is not the way I remember American history. In fact, I have a very hard time recalling any noticeable contributions to America, and her historic past, that has been shared by the Muslim people. Therefore, I would have to ask Mr. Obama exactly what Muslims he is referring to?

Were there Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? I really don’t remember anything about them in the history books. In fact, I thought they were Native American Indians.

It might have been Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? No, again I have to say those were Pilgrims, and yes, Native American Indians.

I have looked very carefully, and for the life of me, I cannot find even one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, or for that matter, any other of our founding document. Not one! Doesn’t this strike you as odd, if “Islam has always been a part of America’s story?” It does me.

Maybe it was the Muslims that helped us fight the English for our freedom. You know, came in at the last minute and saved us from that terrible King George.

No. Seems to me that was the French. Much as I hate to admit it now, but it was not the Muslims.

Could it have been the Civil War? Did Muslims fight during the Civil War? No, I don’t think it was then. Muslims had no part of freeing the slaves in this country. As a matter of fact, Muslims, to this very day are the largest traffickers in human slavery of every race, including their own. Mr. Obama’s own half brother, a devoted Muslim, still advocates slavery, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.”

Now that I really think of it, there were even precious few Muslims that contributed to any part of our countries way of life even through the late 1960’s. Where were Muslims during the fight for Civil Rights in this country?

There is no photographic evidence or news paper stories accounts about the legions of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. If memory serves, the Civil Rights movement have pretty much calmed down before anyone even heard of Muslims. Even then it was a boxer named Cassius Clay changing his name in order to avoid the draft in America. Called himself Muhammad Ali, so he wouldn’t have to serve in his own countries Army. Sure says something for Muslims doesn’t it?

They would have never been a part of the Woman’s Suffrage era. We know very well how women are treated under Muslim law.

During WW II they aligned themselves with Germany against us. The Muslim grand mufti (don’t ask) met with Hitler, reviewed his troops, and accepted support from the Nazi’s in killing Jews.

I could probably go on and on with this, but I think you get the point. Yet there really was on time when the Muslims had a very profound effect on American culture. It was in the morning of September 11th, 2001.

On that day, Muslims changed the history of America forever.

On that infamous day, they flew two commercial aircraft, loaded with passengers, into World Trade Center , another into the Pentagon in Washington DC, and only by the grace of God and a number of heroic passengers, another went into a field in Pennsylvania. In all, killing more then 3,000 people on our own soil.

As if this was not bad enough, they were rejoicing all over the Middle East. Try as he might, even the wondrous Barack Hussein Obama cannot dispute the coverage from all over the Muslim world celebrating on camera for CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and many others. The very same “moderate” (as you call them) Muslims who’s backsides you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were utterly silent post 9-11. To most of us, Mr. Obama, their silence has indicated their approval for the acts of that day.

And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the “rich heritage” Muslims have here in America .

Oh, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslims also. We can also add the slaughter of American soldiers at Ft. Hood. Also the endless attempts to bring down civilian aircraft in the U.S.

Is this the “Muslim heritage” that Mr. Obama wants us to embrace?

Should anyone be interested, by the way, all this “Muslim heritage” has been brought to you by Mr. Obama, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter. The Muslim’s go spanked right and proper, each time they messed with a conservative President. Yet every time a Liberal President came to office, the first thing they did was gut the military. Next thing you know, America gets slammed for it.

Now I will not call Barack Hussein Obama a Muslim as I do not have any solid proof of that. I will say, however, that he seems the most sympathetic President toward them that we have ever had. This sympathy of his is going to cost us, and I do not mean in taxes alone.

For a while now we’ve been hearing “the buck stops with me” from our illustrious President Barack Obama. He has attempted to become the great Democratic leader of the new century. Unfortunately, he is unable to force things to go his way. To date, not a single victory can be added to his tally book, but the rapidly growing string of failures is tipping the scales of trust in a terribly dangerous direction for BHO. The fact is, however, his most notable failure to date is his inability to stop blaming President G. W. Bush for everything up to, and including, killing Cock Robin.

Almost obsessively, Mr. Obama raves about the terrible state of the economy under Bush, not to mention all that he (Obama) has had to do to fix it. Forgetting that the economy has been in freefall for his entire presidency, Obama cannot, and will not, pass up an opportunity to let us know that he ‘inherited’ all this from Bush.

If he really wants to talk about the economy, he should consider that the people are so very tired of the finger pointing. It was Bush, it was the bankers, it was Fanny Mae, it was…. They don’t care any more Mr. Obama. What they want is some good news for a change. Granted, things seem to be very slowly starting to turn, but with all the HUNDEREDS of BILLIONS of dollars Obama has been throwing at the problem one would expect far more positive results by now. Or at least that is the result we were told by the congress, and the administration, to expect.

This is, however, not the least of the problems that Mr. Obama has to deal with these days. From the day he entered office, the terrorists world wide have had a field day. His actions at home, and overseas, have given them a gift they could never have even dreamed of. A leader of the United States that is even weaker then they had imagined possible.

Just as an example, he was unable to make a reasonable decision on how to prosecute the war in Afghanistan. Then again, he could only make available a total of around an hour of his critically important time to speak with the General he appointed to run the war. There were too many other far more important things he had to do. Such as flying off to get the Olympics for his home town. Though, now that I think of it he failed at that too. However, after many weeks of hand ringing he finally made a decision that, so far, has not born much fruit either.

Now he plans to bring these war criminals to our own shores and give them rights as American citizens in order that we can give them a trial in American courts.

He admits to his team’s ‘screw-up’ in the botched Christmas airliner attack, but, has made it a point to note all the good that he believes the government has done in protecting us.

“Our progress has been unmistakable,” Obama said as the new year began. “We’ve disrupted terrorist financing, cutting off recruiting chains, inflicted major losses on al-Qaida’s leadership, thwarted plots here in the United States and saved countless American lives.” I wonder why he failed to note that every Intelligence program now in place he also ‘inherited’ from G. W. Bush. Or that Bush & Co. had already been keeping us very safe for quite a few years when he was elected.

Every time he opens his mouth to offer us a dose of his own special perspective, he sinks his foot even deeper because he fails to remember that the American public lives by the credo “What have you done for me lately?”, and “lately” normally translates to no more they one month.

The fact is, Mr. O, where terrorism is concerned, very few Americans are concerned about any success they were previously unaware of. They are, however, very concerned about a public failure that causes them to remember the details of the deaths of 3,000+ of their brothers, and sisters.

As if these failures are not enough for the Anointed One’s tastes, then of all things, he hands us the same old song and dance that’s been passed around for more then thirty years. The planet is warming, the planet is warming!!! Did they miss the point that the overall world temperature has reduced by two degrees? That we are facing the coldest winters in more then 50 years? They must have, because now, according to Hillary, he wants to spend (are you ready for this?) as much as $TEN-BILLION (that is $10,000,000,000.00) each year to help third world countries with their global warming problems. This is on top of what they expect us to pay to keep our own house clean and green. Now I don’t know how your see it, but to me, that’s a heck of a lot of money. That we don’t have, by the way.!! Guess it’s time to go back to China for another loan. Oh, that’s right, China is one of those countries we are supposed to help.

Would you like to know where that money is supposed to come from? Yes, I’m afraid your right. It’s supposed to come from you, and me, through a new bill (read that as TAX) waiting in the wings called Cap and Tax. Sorry, that’s Cap and Trade. I’ve written about this program before, and the details fall squarely into the category terrifying. The basics are that you are expected to pay for all the carbon generated as a result of your being on the planet.

The details would take many pages to discuss, but you can believe this will be a bill that will make anyone that makes less then a million dollars each year part of the working poor.

“Enough, enough” you say. Not really. This is why there are so many people like me out there today. Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Kerry, Schumer, and the rest of the Liberals literally stay up nights to figure out things for us to write about. This has to be their goal in life, because the pool of material is very deep and very wide.

There is, however, a point to my ramblings. We have a chance this very year to do something about it. We have an election this November that could easily bring the congress back under the control of reasonable people. Those that are in congress now need to be given pink slips and sent packing. I do not limit this to Democrats alone, by the way. There are a number of Republicans that should not be re-elected under any circumstances either. Every one of us need to get involved and learn who should and should not be retained.

For me, I would retain none of them. At the very least, this would send the message to the rookies that we will not allow them to do this to us again.

FIRE CONGRESS!! THE ROOKIES CAN DO NO WORSE!!

Unless it happens within the next few hours, the health care bill will not be voted into law this week end. So many our ‘high powered’ politicians had tried so desperately to force a final vote by this time. For the longest time I kept asking the question, “What is the big hurry?” In the past week or so, I found the answer I was looking for. The answer is, they are scared to death that We The People will actually find out what they are doing.

I’ve been watching with interest, and writing about, this health care crime for some months now. At many stages of the game I had expected it to fall apart like a tall stack of BB’s. Let’s face it, all those terribly important people out there like the SEIU, and MOVEON.ORG, and AARP, and all the rest are just hammering at their own personal attack dogs in congress to get them each what they want. Strangely enough, none of them want the same thing. This leaves Queen Nancy, and Prince Harry, not to for get the Anointed One, with a very serious problem. Somebody is going to get cut out before it’s done. Hmm, who can we cut out that will not hurt us too much in the future? Now there’s a problem.

It’s delightful to see that this problem, and heaven knows how many others, becoming everything I had expected them to be, and a great deal more. And they say that dreams don’t come true. Well, this one has, and it serves them right.

The Liberals have turned both a deaf ear, and a blind eye, to everything We The People have made it very clear that we expect of our elected officials. They have shoved this package of lies, and corruption, down our collective throats with the gusto of a mother feeding her child a dose of unwanted Caster Oil. Now it seems the child is fighting back and spiting the fowl liquid all over the provider, and well it should.

In watching the casting of this terrible mold, we have seen political corruption at it’s best/worst. So much so that Al Capone would have been proud. They have made it obvious that they feel disdain for We The People, and that we can do nothing to stop them. Nor can we retaliate in any meaningful manor. They have, in their own minds become untouchable. Bullet proof, if you like.

With the Drive-by Media planted firmly in their pocket, why shouldn’t they. They have become overt, and blatant, to a point of being insulting.

Openly, a Senator from Louisiana ‘sold’ her vote for a mere $300,000,000.00 and this was on a very early vote. The big one that will be remembered for some time, was Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE), who held out in a very obvious ‘shake down’ move, until his state was removed from ALL responsibility for Medicare payments. Pretty cool, huh? Oh, there were others, like two New England states that were given only $1.2 million each for their Medicare responsibility, but you have to admit that Ben Nelson has proven to be a true artist.

Of course, congress as a whole and the President, can’t be left out either. ON ”ABC-TV” a while back during one of Obama’s infomercials they called a “NETWORK SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE” Obama was asked, point blank: “MR. PRESIDENT WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS AND JOIN THE NEW ‘UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM’ THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON?“ After a long, cold silence, they moved on and Obama simply ignored the question, choosing not to answer.

Over the course of a week or so after that interview, a number of other Senators were asked the same question. In every case the Senators dodged the question, or answered “We’ll have to think about it.” And they did. In a very short time it was announced that the Kennedy Health Care bill has been written into the Senates bill in its entirety, thereby “ensuring that congress will be 100% exempt.” Now why wouldn’t they want to be a part of the same wonderful health care bill that all the rest of us are anchored with.

These are only a few of the brazen examples of the “We are above you.” attitude that both the congress, and the administration, have come to believe. They truly believe they are no longer answerable to anyone. They feel that even your vote no longer means anything as they have people like George Soros and Mickey Moore out there to fund what ever it takes to get them re-elected yet again. They have the unions, the political groups like moveon.org, the seniors money from AARP. Like it or not they also have control of YOUR TAXES as well. If you don’t think they can, and will, use your taxes you are mistaken. What more do they need?

Regardless what they may think, however, they still need is your vote. The best part is that I see a new attitude forming in the voting ranks these days. Many, MANY people are getting tired of watching their freedoms being removed one at a time; tired of the Constitution being bypassed at will; tired of seeing their paychecks get smaller each week from nonexistent taxes; tired of watching as politicians get richer by the day on their backs; tired of a President that has broken every single promise he made to get their votes; tired of our whole system of government being used as the play toy of those we trusted.

Well, folks, I think the game is just about over. I have very a strong feeling that We The People will soon send them a well worded, forceful, message regarding their foolishness. A message that is long over due. We are the ones that have allowed them to get out of control. Now, we must be the ones to “change it back.” The politicians should remember that November is coming very soon, and so are We The People!

It’s time to FIRE CONGRESS. Remember, The Rookies Can Do No Worse!!

I was born more then 60 years ago, in a time when a man could do pretty much anything if he set his mind to it. I was raised by hard working, middle class Americans that believed strongly in God, country, and family. We were as middle class as we could be, in a time when doctors, lawyers and Indian chiefs had not yet been reduced to being a part of the middle class. These days, that bracket has been so modified that it’s become very difficult to be sure where it starts and ends.

Though we didn’t call ourselves Conservatives then, you can be sure that is exactly what we were. We believed in God, and moral behavior, that a man should work for what he gets in life, and that he keeps the great majority of what he works for. You managed what money you made, and did not depend on anyone else to support your family. No one expected the government to ‘bale them out’ if they fell on hard times, and the government most certainly did not pay for your rent, car, food, or anything else for that matter.

While I was financially unable to attend collage right out of high school, I made out just fine until I was able to further my education, on my own. Even with this ‘handicap’ I cannot remember being without a job for more then a few very short periods of time when laid off during some fabricated recession. The reason for this was simple. Foolish as it may sound to some, I actually went out and searched for a job, rather then sitting on my hands and letting the government support me.

Now please understand this is not bragging on my part. It is simply to demonstrate the difference in attitude, and personal responsibility, between now and the time I was raised. Back then, if I spilled the milk, I accepted the responsibility and I cleaned it up. I didn’t blame someone else and make them clean up the mess.

Then, a family raised the children. Now, of course, we are told it ‘takes a village’ to raise a child, and I have some serious problems with a large number of the kids that have been raised by these ‘villages’. Instead of working for what they need, they expect to have it given to them. Instead of taking responsibility for their own actions, it is always someone else’s fault. I’m somewhat surprised they do not expect to be spoon fed at meal time. Worst of all, many of them are now in congress, and they wish to perpetuate their species. Unacceptable!!

Having said this, most of you may be saying, “No question about what political party he’s part of.”, and you could not be more wrong. There is a great question there, and the answer is still open. I was once a Kennedy Democrat, which of course is now a centrist Republican. So then, Conservative, yes; Republican, not exactly; Democrat, not hardly; Liberal not on your life. So what could be the reason that I would feel so horribly disenfranchised by both major political parties? Well, for one thing, if you take out the Liberals on the left, and the extreme Conservatives on the right, you can hardly tell where one party leaves off and the other begins, just for starters. Unacceptable!!

During the Clinton years, it was pretty much business as usual for the moderately Liberal Democratic party. While I was never a big fan, I’ll give Clinton credit for at least trying to keep things under control. At least where his politics was concerned. Then George W. Bush came to the office. I am, in most ways, a big fan of W’s, but at the same time, his open wallet policies were nearly a disaster for the Republican party. Those same policies still haunt the Republicans to this day. The fact that both houses in congress also shared that mindset did not help a thing. Then came a president that could, did, and still does, spend like no president before him. Barack Hussein Obama has spent more money in the first year of his presidency that ALL other US presidents COMBINED!! This does not include the money he blames GWB for spending. Unacceptable!!

That being the short story, we find ourselves ‘ruled’ by a group of Congressional Dukes and Duchesses that have the idea they know more then the people they work for. Us!! They make choices we do not want, then snub us and call us names when we complain. Unacceptable!!

Our President has chosen to place 30+ people in terribly powerful offices, that he calls Czars, that have completely bypassed the congressional inspection and approval, and these people also make major decisions about our lives while being accountable to no one but the President. Making this worse, calling the morals and character of the vast majority of these ‘Czars’ questionable, would be like calling Lake Michigan a big pond. Unacceptable!!

If you wondered why I feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties there it is. From the monumental number of Tea Parties, marches on Washington, and just plain angry people I see each day, I’m guessing I’m not alone in this opinion. So, what will it take then to restore our faith in the American political system?

1. Lets start with the Czars. It would certainly be very helpful if the President would put our Constitutional checks and balances back in place, and fire the lot of them. Every job these ‘individuals’ are doing now should be under the oversight of the congress. Not that I trust them a great deal more, but there are a few good ones left there. So, fire the Czars and let the Senate confirm those people that would be given this much power.

2. The so called ‘Stimulus’ bills need to be withdrawn and the freewheeling spending in Washington needs to stop at once. Now Queen Nancy and Prince Harry want to increase the borrowing limit another $1,200,000,000,000.00 (that’s what $1.2 TRILLION dollars looks like). We can’t afford these peoples spending habits people. The redistribution of our wealth whether in this way, the Cap and Trade bill, the massive Health Care bill, or the 900 ‘pork projects’ they want to attach just one of these, simply must stop now.

3. Loose ACORN altogether! Enough said.

4. Illegal Immigration has got to be halted, and reversed. If a so called ‘shelter’ city, or state, will not enforce the immigration laws then the do not need the federal funds they covet so. Round them up, send them back, and let them go through the proper immigration channels. While their gone, lock down the borders as well. You said you would, now do it.

5. Stop and reverse the growing government control in our lives. Government has no business in my business. Mind your own, I’ll do the same and we will get along just swimmingly. While your at it, how about adding the transparency and accountability that Obama promised in nearly every other sentence during his campaign. If you are not doing something wrong, Mr. President, why are you so intent on hiding everything you do?

A whole lot of people trusted you Mr. President. They even trusted all you Congressmen and Senators to do what you said you would when you took your oath of office. Why have you disappointed us so very badly? Is the temptation of power so strong that you would turn your backs on the people that elected you, not to mention your country? Are you so devoid of character that breaking your country has no effect on your conscience? If so, you can count on one thing as a fact. You will soon be replaced. 2010 is at hand folks. Look behind you. We The People are coming, and we have learned our lesson. We will not be taken advantage of again. Not by you, nor by those that follow you. Your fifteen minutes of fame is up. Fire Congress, the rookies can do no worse!

Global Warming – The Scandal?

I think most of us were stunned, to say the very least, when our illustrious Ex-Vice President Al Gore wound up with a Nobel prize for his global warming nightmare of a movie a few years ago. I have always had this picture in my mind of the entire worlds mouth dropping open, hand on forehead, going, “Ah, what!?!?” Well, now we understand at least how. The Nobel committee has lost it’s collective mind. How else could you explain Barack Obama receiving the Nobel Peace prize before he even took office. Same idea. Then we get the news from the UK that it is all a little more sinister then that.

Recently the computers at the UK’s University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU) were hacked, and the hacker made off with roughly 62 megabytes of data that CRU really, REALLY did not want to see the light of day. One would think that people that ‘smart’ would at least encrypt the evidence. Yet, there is was/is in black and white, with every name it was sent to, and every detail of their oh so foul deed for all the world to see. (you can see them for yourself here if your interested: http://www.eastangliaemails.com/ ) or at least the majority of them. Personally, I thought them to be rather boring. This bunch really needs to get a life. Then again, I’m not a climate change expert. Fact is though, they certainly were caught with their morals down.

Now most people that can add 2+2 and get 4 are really not all that interested, because we’ve known the theory was as bad as Al Gore’s film to start with. However, it must be a really big surprise to someone, because Phil Jones, a director at CRU has stepped down from his position, at least until an investigation can be completed.

What it comes down to is that they attempted to make a preverbal mountain out of the global warming mole hill. Pretty much what the e-mails make a case for is that a significant number of the so called experts have conspired to rig, pad, manipulate, suppress, or even destroy data that was ‘less then helpful’ to their cause. Yet even while facing this gigantic mountain of evidence, Rajendra Pachauri, who chairs the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), insists, “This private communication in no way damages the credibility of the AR4 findings.” AR4 is the latest IPCC report. Now here is a man living in a state of denial.

One of the leading opponents of anthropogenic warming theories, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), said “It appears that, in an attempt to conceal the manipulation of climate data, information disclosure laws may have been violated. I certainly don’t condone the manner in which these emails were released; however, now that they are in the public domain, lawmakers have an obligation to determine the extent to which the so-called ‘consensus’ of global warming, formed with billions of taxpayer dollars, was contrived in the biased minds of the world’s leading climate scientists.”

Billions so dollars??? I would have to say this would only be a very small dent in the cost of what we have paid to chase the ghost we call Global Warming. How many Billions have we been saved by a hacker? This fella needs to get the Nobel prize for humanitarian efforts, wouldn’t you say?

Wouldn’t you think that this kind of revelation would bring these global warming groups to their knees? One would think so. However, the Obama Network (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc.) are circling the wagons to avoid even talking about it by spending as much air time as possible on a story about a golfer that got a ticket for hitting a fire plug. A few of the newspapers should be credited, like the Washington Post and the New York Times for spending a good deal of time on these and related stories.

I’m sure at the instructions of his master BO, even White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has tried to downplayed the story, saying, “In the order of several thousand scientists have come to the conclusion that climate change is happening. I don’t think that any of that is, quite frankly among most people, in dispute.” Well, Robert, as usual, WRONG!

Truth is mandatory, Robert. It is not something that can be manipulated like the global warming data. It is not something that can be truth for one person and a lie for another. Truth is simply that. Truth! This is the problem with the largest portion of our politicians today. They consider the truth to be something to be used only as a last resort.

Now we have a climate summit soon to be held in Copenhagen. The IPCC study would very much like to blame humans for this non-existent global warming, and this is to be their primary point for discussion. Wouldn’t you think this might make them postpone this conference? Let’s face it, the people that wrote the report they will discuss, are the people that the e-mails have shown to have twisted the data. So will they spend all that time discussing a huge lie? You bet they will. They will do what ever they need to, in order to give the politicians of the world what they need to fulfill their mission of taking control of the countries they represent. Even if it is a lie.

It never was about climate change you know. What is was, and still is, about is power. Power given to the political leaders of the world. Power to redistribute our money in a way that they will finally take control of We The People. The power to actually rule us, rather they simply work for us.

So can we stop them? An emphatic YES, we still can. The 2010 elections are less then a year away. There is a lot to do, but the way to stop them is simple. FIRE CONGRESS!! The rookies can do no worse!

What A Difference Two Hundred Years Makes

“It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth — and listen to the song of that siren, till she transforms us into beasts. … For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it might cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.” –Patrick Henry

My how things have changed in only a couple of hundred years. Our founders, like all of us, had faults of course. Dishonesty, and lack of honor were not among them. They held town meetings all over the colonies to get the opinion of the people, and they actually listened to those opinions. What a concept. When they informed the people of what they wanted to do, they made no promises they could not keep. They told them exactly what they would be up against. The people of that time had faith in those people that represented them, and with good reason.

In our time we are not so lucky. When a politician is on the campaign trail they will tell us exactly what we want to hear. Right up to the day they are elected. Then for 80% of the time they are in office they will do what they want, then comes the elections again. They seem to believe the American people will believe anything. The sad part is that in many cases they are correct.

Over the course of the last eleven months our fearless leader, Barack Hussein Obama has implemented the most exaggerated spending this country has ever known. He has, at last report, spent or committed our country to, nearly TWICE the amount of money that all the previous presidents of this country spent combined, and all the time telling the American people that he was actually saving us money. Or was going to at least.

Now he wants us to believe that he has come to this conclusion: “I think it is important, though, to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession.” If you can some how take this statement seriously, you might think that Obama is actually concerned about the growing deficits and never had anything to do with causing them in the first place. Why is he talking like this? Simple, there are lawmakers, some in his own camp, talking about, dare I say it, TAX CUTS in order to reduce these deficits, and he, of course, has concluded that this will only increase the deficits even more.

Now I always thought ‘Slick Willy’ was good at dodging political bullets, but I swear this man can walk on both sides of the street at the same time. The sad part is, he really thinks he’s right.

He feels that ‘At some point, the people could loose confidence in the U.S. economy’. I can’t help wondering if the people he’s talking about are the Chinese that hold more American debt then any other nation on earth ($800 Billion I believe) and the man wants to borrow even more. This is probably why he made the comments while on his latest apology and appeasement tour in Beijing recently.

I think he’s trying to pander the idea to the Chinese that the $787 Billion investment he SAYS he is investing in our wonderful recovery is actually working. I think that one is even harder to swallow when less then 20% of that stimulus money has been paid out. Personally, I think he’s holding on to it to try to shore up the 2010 elections. The way things are going now, he’ll need every bit of it.

I’m sure he never mentioned, to the Chinese, the summary by the CBO at the time he proposed it. The nonpartisan group was very kind to him by saying: “In the longer run, the [Obama] legislation would result in a slight decrease in gross domestic product compared with CBO’s baseline economic forecast.” They neglected to mention that their scoring was static rather then Dynamic. Economists scoring the plan dynamically were not nearly so kind.

His ‘fabrications’ continued earlier this year, as he assured the public that the jobless rate would be held under 8% as long as he could throw tons of money out there. Guess he didn’t throw enough when we consider that we now have 10.2% unemployment and many experts expect it to increase to 12% before it’s all over. Keep in mind this is the average unemployment rate some states are already at 15 and 16%, and we will not discuss Michigan. Then again there is one bright spot. All those government jobs in DC haven’t been touched. If I were the suspicious type I might make something out of that.

Next ‘fabrication’, he recently announced, through others of course, that through October, the American Recovery Ace had ‘created or saved’ 640,329 jobs. However, skeptics found this statement questionable. Even his own ‘Political Bed Fellows’ media are looking into the questionable nature of the accounting and reporting procedures. Like jobs ‘created or saved’ in districts that don’t actually exist. Not the jobs so much as the districts.

“This is our moment, this is our time to turn the page on the policies of the past, to offer a new direction”? Anyone remember this one. The reference to the Obama’s v. Regan’s policies of big government solutions compared to the free enterprise system.

Now it would appear that all his ‘fabrications’ are about to bite him in a place we’ll never see on TV is we’re lucky.

The Liberals are fighting in their own ranks. Many are very upset with BHO on any number of issued, not to mention with each other also on any number of issues. Now this is a good thing though and I think we should encourage it all we can.

The shame of it all, is that this or any other party, would do so much better if they would only take a lesson from those that put this wonderful country together in the first place. Listen to those you represent. Always put the people ahead of self interest, and above all, do what is right for the country. So far, Obama and every one of his Liberal friends have done exactly the opposite, and now it’s time we make them pay for it.

Eleven months from now. FIRE CONGRESS! Rookies can do no worse.

Would you like to see one possible future for the United States? Below is a headline, and its link, to an article that has been it at least a dozen on-line news sources, telling how the Dutch Cabinet (the counter part to our Congress) have actually voted in a tax on how much people drive their cars. Though I understand it’s not OUR government, it is well worth the read.

Now obviously I cannot speak for everyone, but for me this is, like many of the taxes we are suffering these days, one more rip off of a people by those that govern them. And, guess what. This show is on its way to a city or town near you, very soon.

Much sooner then you might think, in fact, if Congress has its way. Remember that little ‘Cap and Trade’ bill that no one wants to talk about any more? The one that was already passed by our friends in the House, and is only waiting for the blessing of the ‘good old boys’ in the Senate? Well, if you look closely you’ll find a very similar provision the Dutch law lurking within the pages of that scam as well. There are, in fact, untold numbers of little items like that hidden in those pages that We The People are not allowed to see. Or, to have anything to say about it. This is the very reason no one talks about it anymore. If you don’t hear about it, you will forget about it until they have it passed and you are now subject to their idea of Utopia.

For instance, you know that house you plan to sell in a year or two when the market gets a little better? You may want to consider selling it quickly if Cap and Trade becomes law. There are provisions in that bill that will require you to nearly rebuild that home to meet the new and improved ‘standards’ that are the ‘vision’ if its creators. One of the first things that will have to go are those old drafty windows. They will have to be replace, by a licensed contractor, in order to meet energy loss standards. Those are the ‘standards’ that do not exist today. All those old non-Energy Star appliances you just installed last year will also have to be replaced with the also new and improved versions, and there is no ‘cash for clunkers’ program for those.

Though it may not hit immediately, the language already exists in the bill that would force you to have an electronic thermostat installed in your home, whether you are selling it or not, that will give the electrical utility company (at least for the time being) the ability to turn your house temperature up or down as they see fit to control electrical energy use. I think it is a pretty good bet that it will not be long until some nameless government agency will have control of that as well.

These are items that are actually in the bill today. There are scenarios that have been developed by people much smarter then me that would nearly curl your hair, to think that our government would have, or even want to have for that matter, such a level of control over every aspect of our lives.

A provision that will effect every person in the land is the idea of Carbon Swapping. What this means is not a simple thing. If it were they wouldn’t use it, because we might be able to understand it. Simply put though, every single item you own, or ever will own in the future, will have a ‘carbon footprint’. This means how much CO2 is exhausted into the air by it, or as a result of it. That is everything you have, including yourself, your kids, your car, and yes, even your dog. The meat you buy for dinner tonight will have a ‘carbon foot print’ because of the process it took to bring it to you, and the truck it was shipped on, among many other considerations.

This definition does not go nearly as far as I could to explain it, but I think you get the idea. According to the government, each person will be given a number of ‘carbon credits’ that you will use against the amount of evil CO2 you use or produce each year. You need to be very careful though, and use them wisely, because you only get so many each year. If you run out, you will have to buy more to cover the rest of the year. Now, I’ll bet you can guess who you will have to buy them from, can’t you? Of course! From your local government ‘carbon credits’ dealer. Who else?? Now is it just me, or does this sound like a SCAM to you too??

The government makes the law; the government decides the ‘carbon footprint’ of every item; the government decides what your quota of ‘carbon credits’ will be; the government sells you the extra ‘carbon credits’ you will need for the year; the government sets the price of the ‘carbon credits’; and finally, the government will decide how much jail time you will do if you refuse to pay.

Wait a minute!! I just thought of something. Doesn’t that really sounds a lot like what the government is doing with Health Care Insurance? I wonder if there is a pattern here?

As the world knows by now, the House of Representatives, in all their wisdom, have chosen to blatantly ignore the undeniable opposition of the American people, and forced through a 220 – 215 vote in favor of their own vision of health care ‘reform’.

It’s not as if we did not make it plain to them. Not like we kept it a secret. They knew very well that the overwhelming majority wanted nothing to do with this bill, in it’s present form.

Sadly, this is not the only case where congress has shown their lack of concern for the people’s wishes. It is, in fact, becoming a very noticeable pattern. Discussing all of them here would only lengthen this commentary, and also be of little value. Most reading this are well aware of the endless string of transgressions by the congress, and their ‘indentured Lap Dog’ White House.

The purpose of the above is simply a reminder. A reminder that congress is supposed to work for us. The same American people they view with such disdain are, in actuality their employers. Having said that, it is my opinion that it is time to issue wholesale ‘pink slips’.

The entire political machine in Washington has become so corrupt they no longer care about those that put them there. Yes, there are a precious few that still want to do something good with the trust the people have placed in them. By firing the others, these may well wake up and be encouraged work as we expect them to. I fear, however, these are very few, and very far between.

I’ve made this statement to co-workers and the reply is nearly always the same, “Are you kidding, that will take years.” No, actually we could turn over the entire government in only six years if we made the effort.

It will surprise some, that in November 2010, the ENTIRE House of Representatives will go up for reelection. That’s right, all 435 of them, including ‘her majesty’ Nancy Pelosi. In the same election, 1/3 of the Senate will also be running. No not for their lives, but for their jobs at least. The whole point is that we have the chance in 2010 we can “change it back”.

No, I don’t mean “change it back” to the same old business as usual politics we have had for so long. If the American people will get of their armchairs and vote the way they know they should, we can send the right people to do the right jobs, and you can be sure that those we leave in office will be happy to teach them the PROPER way to serve their country in fear of the next elections.

What is will take, though, is us getting off our backsides, and getting involved. Find out who the ‘good guys’ are in your area. Help them in their campaigns. Get out and get other voters (legally) to the polls on election day. Write letters and e-mails, make phone calls, what ever it takes to find and promote the young blood this country needs to get her back on track.

The only way we will ever get our country back is to get rid of the infestation we have allowed to take over Washington. This means both parties too. Send the message to the lot of them. We have had enough. There’s the message, We Have Had Enough. Your FIRED!!

Much to the shame of the House of Representatives, a so called ‘Universal Health Care’ bill was forced upon the American people yesterday evening in a very rare, very late, session of the body in Washington DC. I would think that the final vote was, more then anything, a surrender to Pelosi and Obama so the Representatives would finally be allowed to go home. They had been a captive audience for the vast majority of the day. It was, from all accounts, a marathon of deals being offered, arms twisted to the breaking point, funds promised, anything to get the needed votes.

Finally, not long before midnight, Nancy Pelosi and her lap dog, Barack Hussein Obama, finally got their way. With the help of one turncoat Republican from New Orleans, Rep. Joseph Cao, a first-term House member, they literally squeezed out a 220 – 215 vote to complete the first phase of the final law. With Rep. Cao being the one exception, the 176 Republicans must be given credit for standing their ground, along with 39 Democrats that joined the ranks of the opposition.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, of course, compared the ‘ground breaking’ legislation to that of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare in 1965. Two of the more brilliant examples of government run programs that have done so much for our lives over the years.

As this government takeover of yet another industry begins to look more inevitable, one member of the house must surly be ecstatic. Rep. John Dingell (D-Mi) has introduced national health insurance to every Congress starting in 1955. Doing so after succeeding his father. One would think that if the people had not accepted it after 50+ years, Congress would understand that the people do not want it.

What is truly frightening is that the bill, as it is now, is 1,990 pages long. Not a single person that has voted for, or against it, have ever read it. Nearly 2,000 pages? Of course not. That being the case, why would they vote for something this important if you could not understand its text?

Also, why would anyone vote for a bill that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates will cost We The People, $1,200,000,000,000.00 conservatively, and the (CBO) has never been right in their history. Without doubt, this will cost us at LEAST twice that amount. Yet the President can tell us, with a straight face, that this will not require any new taxes and “will not increase the deficit by one nickel.” Oh, and he has a couple of bridges he wants to sell us too.

They even added a bill to the bill that would restrict government paid abortion. Of course Sen. Charlie Rangel refused assure the Republicans that the new abortion bill would remain as part of the health care bill after the Senate gets hold of it.

The bill will further REQUIRE most Americans to carry insurance. This is a mandate that will require both companies, and We The People, to carry insurance like it or not. If we defy the government there will be substantial penalties imposed through the IRS. The IRS?

Because of the ‘central medical database’ provision, the medical records of all those insured will be collected and stored in a government computer ‘to simplify access.’ I have to ask the question, ‘simplify access for who?’ I mean, we all know how secure our government computers are.

Finally, to pay for all this, they want us to believe that they can do so with their $400 billion cuts to Medicare over the next ten years. I’ll bet the states are just thrilled to hear that one. There will also be a 5.4% increase in taxes on singles making over $500, 000 and of families making more then $1,000,000. Remember though, no taxes on anyone below these levels. I would be very concerned about those ‘sir charges’ though. Their already talking about them.

In short, my friends, we have, once again, been sold down the river by our leaders. The worst is, this is only the beginning. There is a little bill waiting for the House to consider it call Cap and Trade. It is a climate change bill that will take from us what little we have left after the Health Care fiasco, and, if that’s not enough, there are at least a dozen bills in both houses that will effectively take away our ability to defend ourselves by removing our guns. They really are covering every base.

With all this coming down the pipe, I see little chance that we will not be a Socialist nation within the next decade. The fact is, however, it’s our own fault. We elected them. Now, we need to fire them. SOON!!
