I can’t speak for everyone else of course, but I can darn well speak for myself. As for me, I have reached the absolute end of the rope with these useless individules we have elected to our House of Representatives, and to our Senate. We made it very well known to them that we did not want their 2,000+ page healthcare bill. Yet in case you’ve been living in a cave these last few months, the news is they pushed it through whether we wanted it or not. In doing so, we were lied to, openly, on a daily, if not an hourly, basis.
We watched helplessly as members of Congress (both houses) were pressured in ways we can probably never understand, nor would we probably want to. We could only watch from way down here as the ‘gods of Olympus’ just as openly bribed who ever they needed to for their vote. These bribes came from the Speaker of The House, the President of The Senate, and, of all things, the President of the United States himself. They actually held both houses ‘prisoners’ in session until they would have voted for anything just to be allowed to go home.
Those of us with the capacity to think for ourselves, watched in horror as the House actually passed the Cap & Tax (ok Cap and Trade) bill and sent it to the Senate. Thankfully, it is still on the bottom of their priority list, only because they were shamefully embarrassed in Copenhagen at the Global Warming Summit. Thankfully, someone was able to make public hundreds of e-mail that prove, almost without a doubt, that Global warming is simply one more Liberal tool to push us over the edge into Socialism. Thank God for small favors and hackers. Just as a small sidebar on that topic. Do you have the slightest clue what it cost to send all those people, all their assistants, and in some cases their families (oh yes they did) to Copenhagen for that ‘Dog & Pony Show’? So what. It’s all on credit. Then again, who do you think is going to have to be good for the bill when it arrives? We The People!
Now we read each day about new bills the (Liberals) are trying to force through the same way. Most of them as smoke screens so our attention is diverted from the items that will allow them to succeed in their overall plans for the country. They wave these bills in one hand that will anger us so much that they think we will not be watching the other hand. That’s where the real trouble is.
For instance, do you really think the Democratic party wants the lending industry in this country limited right now. It that were to happen, all their constituents on welfare that just ‘have to have a house’ they can’t afford, would never be able to get one if their lives depended on it. And, of course, if that happened, who do you think those constituents will vote for next time. No sir! The very last thing they want to do is cut off the support to their voting base.
The same goes for immigration. Stop the flow of illegals into this country, and the same voting base (illegals that are already here) will take their vote elsewhere. If you think those illegals don’t vote, by the way, think again. Now to be fair, I have to admit that not a single administration, or congress, in decades has done any better. No one wants to take responsibility for the problem, and upset the relatives of all those ‘voters’ that have already found their way here.
This one, however, this new climate bill, was the final straw for me. John Kerry (D-Mass) and Joe Lieberman, (I-Conn) are sponsoring yet another climate bill in the Senate. Now it’s a ‘climate bill’ because they know they cannot get away with ‘climate change’ any longer, but they simply refuse to let it go.
This ‘new’ bill will do nearly everything that the Cap & Trade bill would have done only without the toxic “Climate Change” label being attached to cause them trouble. Instead, the new bill is shrouded in things such as ‘the recent oil spill in the gulf’ and our ‘addiction to oil’. Nothing about how they plan to pay for it, or even exactly what it will actually do for us. Of course this too is not unusual.
Yet the bill is 987 pages long. Why does it take 987 pages to write a climate bill. Or 2,000+ pages to write a health care bill that we had to pass so we could not what was in it, according to Ms Pelosi. Like most of the bills now it is so large because that way no average person could not understand it if they tried. So, what are they hiding in this one.
I have never trusted John Kerry, and never will. Anyone that would try to do what he did to his fellow soldiers cannot be trusted in anything. Lieberman was once a great Senator, but in recent years he has started to simply ‘go along’ rather then being the good leader that he could be, and this bill makes that pretty obvious for me.

The fact is that this country, this world for that matter, really does need to be taken care of. It’s the only one we have, and I would like my grandchildren to have something to enjoy as I have. However, like so many other things, letting the government be the caretakers is simply out of the question.
This kind of bill, however, has little to do with climate control, and a whole lot to do with people control. American people that is. For that, and many other reasons, I once again encourage you to FIRE CONGRESS! THE ROOKIES CAN DO NO
