I tried to tell them it was not about what they want you distracted with. It is their initial steps to remove the power of our Constitution.  Take your freedom from you. No matter what you do or say,it will continue. Now the bitter pill. If we Americans do not arm ourselves with  the truth. We will execute the same futile expierment again. This will quicken the destruction of our liberties. Then the lives of us older folks who are unable to contirbute to the NWO with labor,will become extremely difficult. This is not by chance.It is by design. It is part of the advancement of the FUNDAMNENTAL TRANSFORMATION plan. It is the reason the White House never calls Becks red phone to refute his accusations. You see my friends I am confident that I will not be around long enough to see AARP and all those of us who actually supported and defend BHO and his PROGRESSIVE Agenda get their just reward. It will be their end. Literally! I am so amazed that so many of us very wise old souls voted for this person based on AARP's supporting him. Other than you athiest's. How could you vote for a man who blatantly lied about his 20 years sitting in a pew listening to a spiritual leader spewing profanity and blasphemy out of his mouth? Now watch as they try to remove Christianity from our country. It was claimed,that we seniors present the largest voting block in America! If this is true? Then you must set aside your parties and vote The DNC out of power. I tell you no matter the promises or lies they perpetuate you must stop them. If not ,you will not need worry about you grandchildren anymore as you can be assured they will be enslaved by the enormous debt that the Progressive agenda dictated to you and then they have no future to speak of,other than paying their homage to the NWO.

I don't trust them and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't try to pass this bill before the first of the year.  Once again, nobody will read the bill and we won't have any idea what's in it.

This evening, at 11:15 p.m., the House of Representatives voted to pass their health insurance reform bill. Despite countless attempts over nearly a century, no chamber of Congress has ever before passed comprehensive health reform. This is history.

But you and millions of your fellow Organizing for America supporters didn't just witness history tonight -- you helped make it. Each "yes" vote was a brave stand, backed up by countless hours of knocking on doors, outreach in town halls and town squares, millions of signatures, and hundreds of thousands of calls. You stood up. You spoke up. And you were heard.

So this is a night to celebrate -- but not to rest. Those who voted for reform deserve our thanks, and the next phase of this fight has already begun.

The final Senate bill hasn't even been released yet, but the insurance companies are already pressing hard for a filibuster to bury it. OFA has built a massive neighborhood-by-neighborhood operation to bring people's voices to Congress, and tonight we saw the results. But the coming days will put our efforts to the ultimate test. I think they only needed 218 votes, so 3 votes (and 1 lone Republican) made the difference.  I'm sure tomorrow we will have a lot more information and will know who that Republican is ... I suggest we encourage people to write to this person and let him know that peopel all over the United States will be sending money to support who ever runs against him in then re-election!

Congressman Brian Baird’s Statement Regarding H.R. 3962 – The Affordable Health Care for America Act

Washington, D.C.- I strongly believe there is a need for health care reform and I have offered my own proposal for how this should be accomplished. The bill before the House is a result of thousands of hours of effort put in by members of Congress and their staff, plus the unprecedented input from the public on all sides of this issue. Clearly, people care about how we deliver and pay for health care in this country and there is a need and opportunity for change.

In comparison to the initial draft of H.R. 3200, a number of improvements have been made. To name just a few, the current bill would allow negotiations for prescription drugs under Medicare D, promote alternatives to malpractice litigation, and allow for cross state agreements to purchase cross state insurance (something especially relevant to border districts such as my own). There are also elements that could at long last correct the Medicare payment disparities that disadvantage our state, and the bill would end the anti-trust exemption long enjoyed by insurance companies.

All of those changes are commendable, but there are still reasons for concern. The most important of these is the simple fact that we do not yet have reliable estimates of how this legislation will impact the premiums paid by people who already have insurance.

This week I spoke with Nancy-Ann DeParle, the President's chief health advisor and Doug Elmendorf, the director of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Although some prominent economists have asserted that premiums on average may go down relative to what they would be without this bill, the CBO has yet to complete its analysis of the issue. Furthermore, just yesterday, the chief actuary for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said he did not think a cost estimate of the House bill would be available before the scheduled vote.

This is no small matter. To insist that members vote on this legislation without having cost estimates of Medicare and Medicaid impacts by CMS or an estimate of premium impacts from the CBO seems premature and unwise.

Precisely because this matter is so important, it is critical that we do things right, and know what we are doing. At present, unfortunately, I do not believe we have answers to fundamental questions.

Another troubling matter is how the legislation will be brought to a vote. As of this writing, only one amendment will be allowed from the Republican side. No other amendments, by either the majority or minority members, will be allowed. I believe that is a mistake. For a matter of this importance, and on which reasonable people can and do disagree, there ought to be more opportunity granted for amendments on both sides.

For these reasons, until more information is available on premium estimates and Medicare impacts, I will vote against the legislation in its current form. I will wait to make a decision on final legislation until this critical information becomes available and when the House and Senate together produce one bill.
