Physician addresses Infrastructure for Universal Health Care

Do we have the infrastructure for universal health care?

In a new article from the Blatimore Sun,  written by Dr. David McClure,  he states: “All this talk about universal health care, but has anyone asked the primary care physicians what they think and whether our infrastructure support claims of easy accessibility to health care for all?” He then discuses some of the real problems that would affect our medical care.

Each time we read a piece like this, one must pause and ask questions. The problem is, our questions are not being answered. This continues to cause mistrust in what the politicians tell us, they never really answer the questions rather they use distraction tactics that point you in a different direction.    This avoids dealing with our real concerns and is a waste of time. However,  If you want to consider the pros and cons of existing insurance companies then consider the fact that there  are over 1300 insurance companies in our country, yet we are limited to a handful in each state.  This is not address in the HCR bill and many of us believe  this to  be a major issue that should be considered.  Competition would have a positive effect and force companies to produce more affordable and better products.

President Obama has been in office 242 days, in that time he has held 111 press conferences including town halls, and he has discussed his plan for HCR 40 times since the original date he set to pass the bill. Yet 67% of the population is completely confused by this bill and the effect it will have. Clearly, with this degree of doubt and the fear it is generating, our leaders need to address to the satisfaction of the American people, before any bill is passed. There are legitimate questions that are not being answered. For more information Read the full article written by Dr.David McClure here!

Would you want to become a physician in this environment? I have two nephews who have just completed their residency. In this environment I’m not sure it would be worth the rigorous studies and schedules they have had to participate in. Let’s get back to a free market and Limited Government. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Franks and others with the push for Big Government is self-servicing and destructive for the United States of America. May God Bless America!
