Prince of Fools

The joke is on you, America.

 By Carl E. Van Buren

This quote was translated into English from an article appearing in the  Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2010.

“The danger to America is not  Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.  It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an  Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment  to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who  is a mere symptom of what ails America .  Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

“The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all,  merely a fool.  It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools  such as those who made him their president.”

For myself, I think it a sad state of affairs that it takes a reporter from a country like Poland to recognize the truth of what we have done to ourselves in America.  Yes, ‘what WE have done’ to ourselves.

It’s easy for us to sit back now, and whine about what Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the extreme Liberals have done to us.  Let’s face it, hind site has always been 20/20, but the true fact is that we put them there in the first place.

I can already hear the masses screaming, “Oh, no.  I didn’t vote for them.  I had nothing to do with it.”  Really?  Did you get out and knock on doors for the Republicans, or even the Independents candidate that was running against them?  Did you help the local party make phone calls, put up posters, anything to help a party that might have stopped them in the first place?  I think you see the point I’m making here.  Yet the worst question is, did you vote?

Now I really do understand that voting for John McCain was not exactly the choice we would have liked to make.  The fact is that, though, if we had been doing what was right in the first place we probably wouldn’t have had to make that choice.  The Liberal Democrats had already gained the seats in Congress that they needed to lay the foundation for Barack Obama.  This was because the Republicans had lost their way and forced us to do so.

President Bush, admittedly, did his part by leaving what should have been a great Presidency in shambles during the last four years of his office.  The Republicans pretty much went crazy with our credit cards, and really lost their good sense as well.  It was this that allowed the Liberals to retake the House and Senate in the first place.

However!!  The real blame falls squarely in the lap of We The People.  We are the ones that have allowed ourselves to fall into the muddy waters of apathy.  To sit at home and watch the results of the elections rather then getting out of the chair and make use of the greatest of our rights and liberties.  We did not do the one thing that scares the Liberals to death.  We didn’t VOTE!!

So many of us have, over the years, come to the conclusion that ‘my one vote makes no difference either way.’  OK, I understand the feeling.  It’s hard to get out there in what is usually terrible weather and sometimes stand in long lines just to cast our single, insignificant, little vote.  What a huge mistake that is!  If all the people that felt that way would have gone out and made use of our greatest right of freedom, I truly believe that the Liberals would not be in power today, and we would not be stuck with the ‘prince of fools’ Barack Obama, in the White House leading the multitude of fools we find ourselves cursed with today.

Is there something we can do, now that it has happened?  Of course there is.  Exactly what I have been talking about all along.  We have an election coming up on November 3rd of this year.  Just slightly less then six months down the road.  In that election, many important Senators, Harry Reid being one of them, and the ENTIRE House of Representatives will be up for election.  This is the place where we have the opportunity to take back our country, and our self respect.  And all you have to do is VOTE.  Of course, getting others to do the same thing would certainly be a plus.  As I noted in the outset, make phone calls, offer a ride to the polls for people that need transportation, help your choice of candidates by knocking on doors and letting others know what we need to take back our country, and regain the blessings of freedom through the greatest single right that is offered us by liberty.  The right to vote.

One final point.  Before you make use of that powerful right, learn about those that would covet that vote.  Our problems are not confined to the Liberals alone.  Democrats and Republicans, along with the extremes of both parties have caused this endless string of problems, and everyone of them that are involved MUST be sent home.  Point is, don’t waste that valuable vote of  yours on the same ‘good ol boy’ that you’ve voted for all these years.  Find out for yourself who is the best person available to represent you, and your views, in Washington.  Then do all you can to send him/her there to do just that.  FIRE CONGRESS!  THE ROOKIES CAN DO NO WORSE!!

“what WE have done”, he did not get 100% of the vote, he only got 53% of the vote in 2008. McCain got 46%. 47% of the voters within the U.S. who voted, did NOT vote for Mr. Obama. “WE” didn’t do anything, it is the stupid Progressive, Liberal, Socialist useful idiots who voted Mr. O into office. He will not get a second term……
